“The Destructive Power of Pride”
The power of pride. Have you ever saw the bumper stickers that say this statement about pride? I’ve seen them here in the USA and they boast about the power of pride. I personally believe it is pride that has caused a lot of problems for the USA and the teaching of people saying, “I’m so proud of you”. I just can’t see this lining up with Biblical counsel of what the Word of God says for us in our lives. I’ve heard people make statements such as: “Son, I’m so proud of you!” Well, what did our Father in Heaven say over His very own Son on the day when He was baptized? Luke 3:22 “…thou art My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.” How about that? Our Father said over His only Son of how He was well pleased. He didn’t say in whom I am proud. Why? Well, does not the Word of God say that He resists the proud [1Pet 5:5] but gives grace to the humble? And does not it also say that death and life are in the power of the tongue [Prov 18:21]? I believe this is very key to why He did not say, “Son, I’m so proud of You.”
You may want to say… “Well, that was then and this is now and

“The Unity Of The Faith” - Eph 4:13
What is so important about this unity of the faith that Paul being led by the Holy Spirit wrote it down? There are many things that need to take place in the body of Christ and most certainly will come to pass as He is faithful to complete the work that He has started in us until the day of redemption. One of the works that will be completed is the unity of the faith between the brethren of the Lord. We as the Church body must function in unity of the faith. Paul didn’t say to unify in doctrine, but to unify in the faith so that we wouldn’t be blown away with every wind of doctrine that is out there. If we back up to read Eph 4:11-12 then we begin to see that the five fold ministry gifts were given for the purpose of unifying the Church in the faith. What faith? The faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lets dig deeper and look at how we are to begin to walk in this unity. When the children of God

“Peace In The Storm” - Mark 4:35-41
It’s faith that our Father is looking for in us. Without it, it’s impossible to please Him [Heb 11:6] and whatsoever is not of faith is sin [Rom 14:23]. Have you ever been given a Word from the Father that you are going to the other side and then in the midst of passing over a storm arose? During that storm did you ever cry out to the Lord and say anything like what is found in this passage of Mark 4:38? “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Well, I have! I’ve said to the Lord before, “Where are You at? Why is this happening?” The Lord corrected me on this when I done it and said the same thing to me as He did to His disciples that day on the boat….”Where is your faith?”. He said to me,

What About Me?
What do you do when you give your all to something for the glory of the LORD and then you are not even noticed or recognized for what you’ve done? What if you’ve served others and still yet they refuse to acknowledge your acts of compassion and kindness? Here is what you do and it’s found in Col 3:23; “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” This is the real test in our being a servant. If you’re not walking in the Spirit your flesh will want to rise up and take a stand to let all those people know about what you’ve done and you could get into a cage of bitterness that will cost you something. It will you cost you the blessings of your love walk!
The Lord taught me this lesson of doing all things unto Him about 6 years ago. I was working in a service shop
