Let Your Love Abound!

Let Your Love Abound!

You know what is the priority number one thing in our lives as Christians that we should be doing. First we should love the Father with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength. That is the first priority and right underneath that is to love our neighbors as ourselves. Love. It will never fail! In Phil 1:9 Paul makes an interesting statement concerning our love. He prayed that our love would abound yet more and more in all knowledge and judgement (discernment). Did you catch that? He prayed that our love would abound more and more.

Anytime that we apply our knowledge or discernment over a situation it has to be done through the channel of His love. If you see something in another brother or sister of the Lord Jesus that needs help, or maybe you see it in an unsaved person, no matter what you see you must use the love of God to look at them. How would Jesus see them? What would He say to them? Love always looks to the good in all things, believes all things, hopes all things and it never fails! This is priority number one! It’s contained in the first two commandments and all the rest of them hang on that law of love!

Is your faith talk talking but your not seeing the results like you think you should? You better check your love walk. Is there any bitterness, unforgiveness or any resentful attitudes you might be carrying around? Perhaps it could be murmuring and complaining. That limits the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 78:40-41 Stop complaining at all costs! You must present yourself as a living sacrifice to Him. Romans 12:1 When we say “Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done”, what that really means is for us to do what the Father wants done. Have you specifically asked Him today? Father what is it you want me to do for you? What is Your will for me today? Stay in tune to His voice by taking in His Word daily. Make the love walk priority #1 in your life today and you’ll start seeing a change happen for the better in your life! You can do it! Many blessings to you. Gary.
