No Compromising Allowed!

No Compromising Allowed

What is one of the worst positions a person can be in with their walk before the LORD? Compromise. It’s like finding the middle road and walking there in between both extremes. You are not too far in the world and you are not too far in the LORD. This position would be defined as luke warm. Jesus has warned us in the book of Revelation that He would spew (vomit) us out of His mouth if he finds us in the luke warm position. Rev 3:15-16 . That is a strong warning to us as Christians that our walk with Him should be on fire and have no compromising involved. How does satan attempt to get a Christian in this position of compromise? It’s the one tool he has used from the beginning at the garden of Eden and it is called deception.

A Christian can know satan’s lies and deception if they stay tuned into the Word of God. But if a Christian fills their selves with worldly TV shows and magazines that compromise truth found in the Word of God then they’ve crossed the dangerous line and are now compromising their walk with Him. You might ask. What is worldly? I challenge every Christian to turn off the TV set for even one month and stop reading gossip magazines and get into His Word every day. If you can do this then you will begin to see things you’ve not seen before as your eyes will be opened to His truth.

We are not to be conformed to our culture of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 Many Christians have compromised their dress codes and claim that it is acceptable to wear tight fitting clothes that expose cleavage or bust lines. When the fact is, that it is not. If a Christian woman walks into church on Sunday wearing a long beautiful dress or very modest clothing and then after the church service goes home and changes into short shorts, low cut tight tops, midriffs, blue jeans so tight that it exposes more than anyone needs to see, or mini skirts, then that is just pure hypocrisy. We need to realize that the same God who sees us in service sees us outside of service too and so do the people. How can a Christian be a light to the dark world if they look like, talk like and act like the world? This also goes for the men as well.

My wife and I have had no TV for almost 4yrs now. I’m not saying it’s a sin to have a TV, but does the TV have you? Even if it is a Christian network you still must guard your heart and discern what is being presented. As I’ve said before there is a lot of worldliness in the dress codes and behaviors, even in Christian musicians and preachers. But there is also a lot of wonderful Christian shows out there and preachers and musicians. I don’t want you to think that all I do is go around judging people. I’m merely stating a fact. Don’t fall into the deception of saying to yourself, “Well God doesn’t mind because that was then and this is now, and the times have changed.” Yes, that is true that times have changed. But He has not! He does not change His Word nor His standards of holiness. James 1:17

Remember, compromise is any position a Christian is luke warm in. It doesn’t just go for dress codes. It applies to every area of our life such as: no lying, stealing, cheating, foul talk, etc.,. Praise the LORD for His grace that He has given to us. He has laid out the appropriate measure of grace given in Christ that we need to walk out our life with Him. Eph 4:7 However, this grace given to us is not our excuse to sin before Him. Take a note of how Paul ended his new testament letters to the churches. There was always a mention of growing in His grace or that His grace would be multiplied to them. We don’t deserve this grace but we receive it by the blood of Jesus! Hallelujah! Here is a reason why compromising happens. How much do you really love God, love yourselves, your spouse, and your neighbor? The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Pro 9:10 Do you reverance Him with such great awe of who He is? May we all grow in His grace and walk in His truth. His Word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path. Psalm 119:105 …..
