F.A.I.T.H. One day I was sitting and just thinking on something that one of my mentors in worship leading had taught me. He was teaching how Paul was fully persuaded in the Lord and was beyond any doubt. As I was thinking on that these words came to me. Fully Assured In Trusting Him. That is what faith really is! That phrase hit me real strong and I always attempt to think on it when I find myself being tempted with doubt and worry. I just have to rise up and say “NO! I am Fully Assured In Trusting Him“. He is faithful in what He has promised and He will do it when I stand on His Word and get in line with it! One thing is for certain you are not going to be fully assured or persuaded He can do anything if you are not allowing His Word to take deep root in you. Jesus warned us against receiving the Word on bad ground and how if we do not have our roots deep in good soil that we would waiver when persecutions would arise. Mark 4:16-19 You’re going to hae to check your heart and make sure that it is ready to receive. Plow up your fallow ground Hosea 10:12 and get tough on yourselves. This is not the time to be sluggish with receiving the Word. We must redeem the time because the days are evil. Eph 5:16 Paul said let each on examine their own selves to see if they are in the faith. II Cor 13:5 If we are not in faith then we are not able to please Him Heb 11:6 and we are deceiving our own selves because we are not doing what His Word commands us to do. James 1:22 James had written about this kind of problem with doubting and it was a heart problem. James 4:8 He said to purify your hearts you double minded. If you want to get your mind thinking right then it needs to start in the heart. It’s the central command station for the whole body, soul and spirit. I’m not talking about the physical heart either. I’m talking about the heart spiritually. be on guard with your heart. Guard it with all diligence. For out of it spring the issues of life! Prov 4:23 If you do this, you will be Fully Assured In Trusting Him! |
