Peace in the Storm

“Peace In The Storm” - Mark 4:35-41

It’s faith that our Father is looking for in us. Without it, it’s impossible to please Him [Heb 11:6] and whatsoever is not of faith is sin [Rom 14:23]. Have you ever been given a Word from the Father that you are going to the other side and then in the midst of passing over a storm arose? During that storm did you ever cry out to the Lord and say anything like what is found in this passage of Mark 4:38? “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Well, I have! I’ve said to the Lord before, “Where are You at? Why is this happening?” The Lord corrected me on this when I done it and said the same thing to me as He did to His disciples that day on the boat….”Where is your faith?”. He said to me, “I’m right there with you! Rise up and stand on My Word that I have given and rest in Me!” You see, Jesus gave the Word to His disciples that they were going over to the other side of the lake. When the Lord gives a Word or command to us then we can stand on that Word and rest in the midst of the storm despite what it may appear to look like. The storm was a counter attack sent by satan against the Word of the Lord and we see Jesus not paying attention to the circumstance nor getting in fear but resting in the care of His Father. For the Word of the Lord had been given! We’re going to the other side! Hallelujah!

When we receive a Word from the Lord then we can stand on it and rest in His promise to us. I believe that in the example of Jesus rising up and rebuking the winds, that Jesus was operating in the Kingdom dominion that Adam lost the day he sinned before the Lord in the garden of Eden. That’s one of the reasons Jesus came, being the 2nd Adam, perfect and sinless, He came to take back what the 1st Adam lost…his dominion. The command of dominion was already given to Adam and we read about that in Gen 1:28 “…and have dominion”. Praise the Lord! Because of what Jesus did for us at the cross we have the dominion back! We are Kingdom ambassadors who have been given all authority over the enemy and nothing by any means shall harm us! [Luke 10:19] Don’t let the storm, no matter what it is, cause you to fear and to operate the opposite of faith. Fear has torment, but perfect love casteth out fear![1John 4:18] Rise up and say to the storm with authority, “Peace be still!” Use the sword of the Word of the Lord against the enemy and the storms! You’re going to make it to the destination because you have been given a Word from the Father! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
